How To Use Trusted Treatments
This is a GP-led online clinic that provides assessments and treatments for conditions that can be safely dealt with remotely.
The Process to Obtain Medicines and Advice
We have a simple condition, symptom, or regular medicine consultation structure. This means the following:
- Patients with pre-existing conditions can be offered a variety of treatments that may be limited or not available on the NHS. This may include specific brands of products, medicines that have a restricted quantity on the NHS but are safe to take if more are supplied, and medicines that are not available locally on the NHS e.g. treatments where the local choice is not your preferred option as well as some treatments for cosmetic conditions. We can also help with short terms supplies of medicines when you are changing GP practice or unable to access your usual GP or pharmacy. See the conditions we treat here.
- Patients with symptoms that do not require urgent medical care can discuss these with a GP or other clinician of their choice. Following the consultation, a private prescription for a medicine or other treatment may be offered. Usually, next day delivery will be offered by our partner pharmacy when prescriptions are issued before 3pm during the week. Book a video consultation with a doctor or other clinician of your choice today.
- Repeat private prescriptions for regular medicines that you are currently taking under the care of a suitable clinician. This may include medicines that you wish to receive to save a trip to your GP and pharmacy. We can also offer medicines that remain unchanged for several months. This means that one supply can be made without multiple NHS prescription charges and reordering/collecting your prescription each month. Those working away from home for long periods may find this service convenient as well as cost-effective in terms of both time and fees. Buy your repeat medicines here.
If your condition or symptoms require urgent treatment, please call NHS 111 by dialling 111 on your telephone. If you require emergency treatment, for example, if you or someone else has chest pain, has received an injury to the head, or has been involved in a serious accident, call 999 on your telephone immediately. If your condition or symptoms are not something that can be assessed remotely through the Trusted Treatments online doctor service, please make an appointment with your usual GP at the earliest opportunity. If your GP cannot offer an appointment in a timeframe that you feel is appropriate, call 111 on your telephone and seek advice, explaining your concerns. Read more about where to get help.
