Lead GP - Dr John O'Connell
Dr O'Connell provides caring and compassionate care, ready to listen to and understand your concerns whilst delivering the highest standards. A friendly, approachable doctor, and firm favourite with patients.
Dr O'Connell is an experienced GP, practising for over three decades. He graduated with an MB ChB in 1985 from the University of Sheffield. Since registering as a GP in 1992, Dr O'Connell has gained post graduate qualifications in dermatology, sport and exercise medicine, cardiology, and advanced cosmetic procedures. In addition to general practice, his experience includes private healthcare, cosmetic enhancements, treating complex skin disorders, removing concerning lesions, and performing other minor surgery.
Passionate about supporting the development of others, Dr O'Connell embraces the role of Lead GP for Trusted Treatments. He helps fellow doctors gain skills in remote assessment, and upskills prescribers from multidisciplinary groups that include nurses, pharmacists, and paramedics.
Head of Operations and Marketing - Mr Richard Neilson
Mr Neilson is a pharmacist with over 15 years' experience in community pharmacies, hospitals, clinical commissioning groups, general practice, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr Neilson, known as Richard, is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. He has interests in respiratory medicine and endocrinology, with vast experience in the assessment and treatment of complex respiratory disease. Richard is passionate about increasing access to care. He believes that the needs of many people are not met in the most person-centred manner by existing services. He strives to develop the most patient-focussed clinical service that is not only accessible 24 hours a day, but also provides optimal standards of remote healthcare.
Richard also holds an MBA, a diploma in digital marketing, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Consultant Pharmaceutical Expert - Mr David Russell
Passionate about caring for people, Mr Russell, known as David, has held positions in community pharmacy, general practice, hospital pharmacy, and is the Chair of the Local Pharmaceutical Committee.
Mr Russell has a master's degree in pharmacy, an independent prescribing qualification and a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. David's areas of clinical expertise focus on hypertension, anticoagulation, and mental health. David is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Mr Russell is driven by improving the quality of life of others. He is here to ensure that patients accessing the service have the best care options available to them.
